Saffree - Project Plan

Saffree is a product designed by a scrum team, consisting of Zheng JiongJie(me), Swah Jian Oon, Chua Qi Heng, Zeng ZiHui, and Brandon Mah, with me leading the team as the scrum master.

Saffree is an automated safe-entry system, which removes the need for front-line workers to check for the Safe-Entry check-in page as well as scanning of NRIC, by automating these tasks. Other than that, Saffree also comes with other features including tracking of the amount of people visiting the location, so as to prevent overcrowding, as well as a distance tracker which will ensure that visitors are 1 meter apart to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Project Architecture:

The project consists 4 major components, the "Saffree Box", which is a small booth which will be located at the entrance, the distancing and tracking cameras which will be placed on the ceiling, as well as a web application to present useful data recorded by the "Saffree Box" and the various cameras.

One of the main benefits of Saffree is how it helps reduce human contact, reducing the risk of transmission between front-line workers and any visitors. By tracking the amount of people at the location, and warning visitors not to enter when the location is at maximum capacity, overcrowding can be prevented as well.

Saffree is extremely easy to set up and implement, since users can carry on with their usual methods of checking into a venue with ease, the system will be easy and efficient for visitors, and the checking in process can be completed in 2 simple steps.
