In the second year of studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was tasked to find two webinars related to the IT field, and I went online and found two rather interesting webinars, one of which being about the data science and machine learning field, and the other being about becoming a .NET full-stack developer.
The webinar on data science and machine learning is extremely interesting to me since I am personally extremely interested in the process of building a data model, and the webinar has taught me so much about the real industry, like the process a data science team goes through when creating a new model, and the different roles in the team which are responsible for various parts of the project. In my own spare time, I tried to create machine learning models from various online sets available on the web, hence having the chance to look into how professionals do it in the industry is a real eye-opener, and have learned about how many layers there are in machine learning and data science.

As for the webinar on the .NET full-stack development, I have gained plenty of insight from it as well. In my current course of study, I have been learning about ASP.NET, and the basics of building a web application using the MVC model, from the webinar, I got to see the different types of technologies used in the actual industry, from things like Razor Pages to the various usages of Microsoft Azure which is used to host such web apps. Becoming a full-stack developer is also one of the things that I am interested in for my career, and learning about the different technologies which are not taught in school is a great experience which will help me choose my future course of studies.

Before this assignment, I had barely any idea what a webinar is, but after actually attending one by myself, I saw the benefits such webinars can bring me, and I will definitely join other webinars in the future to further educate myself on the IT industry.
