During today's class, we were tasked to make use of different tools such as motion sensors and smoke sensors, to obtain information. The following are the things we tried to capture; temperature, distance, NFC, humidity, smoke, and motion.

However, I faced an issue with the motion detector, as the detector was too insensitive despite me tuning the sensitivity, and the sensor was very inconsistent with its records.

I had managed to successfully make use of the NFC and the distance scanners by following the instructions given.

The distance shown was sometimes inaccurate, but it worked for the most part.

The NFC device worked fine.

As I tried to complete the humidity sensor, I had run into an issue that the python file was missing a library, and since I could not get onto the internet using the PI at school after I reached home, I used a LAN cable to give PI access to the internet and installed the Adafruit DHT library required for the sensor to work, but even after installing the library, it still failed to load.

I also had a problem with using the smoke sensor, and even though I followed all the instructions and properly attached the wiring, the sensor was giving off a foul smell when the voltage was attached to it. Despite after trying to use other wires, and attaching the voltage to the 3V3 instead of the 5V, it still failed to work properly, hence I presume that the smoke sensor had an issue.

Through today's exercise, I had a better understanding of how I can use the various sensors to obtain information in my upcoming projects and also learnt how to properly attach different sensors to the breadboard.
