Today our class was taught on how to make use of the raspberry pi and the breadboard. firstly, we set up the breadboard so that the various circuits can run smoothly, such as connecting the voltage to the positive lines and the ground to the negative line.
This of course was not accomplished without facing any issues and due to my inexperience, i mixed up where to connect the wiring and blew the bulb, but after my fellow classmates gave me pointers, I eventually managed to figure out how to set up the basic flashing bulb, and also managed to set up a switch for the bulb on the very first try.
One issue I had faced while trying to complete this practical was that i had close to zero prior experience of building a circuit, hence i was not sure on how each component of the circuit worked, but as the lesson went on, I learnt how the PI sends out electricity to specific parts of the circuit, and that one small mistake in the code or a wrongly attached wire can result in the circuit failing as a whole.
A few other issues i faced while trying to complete this practice was the connectivity of the PI, it was often disconnected due to the high network traffic. Also, I made another mistake of turning off the hotspot on the PI, stopping me from continuing the next part of the practical. But once i reached home, i attached the PI to a monitor and after searching through various forums on how to solve the issue, I managed to turn the hotspot back on, solving the issue.
Through this practical, i have gained the very basic knowledge on how electronics work since i had no prior knowledge on electronics and circuits, this hands on learning experience has allowed me to learn various things despite the hiccups along the way.
